Guardian Advocacy Workshop
The workshop is free and will be April 22nd from 10am-2pm in the FDST Conference room.
Laurie Ohall, PA will be hosting a FREE Guardian Advocacy workshop where she will help low income special needs families fill out the paperwork to file to become guardian advocate of their children. The family will be given everything they need to file for guardian advocacy without having to use an attorney and they will learn how to get the court fees waived.
The workshop is free and is limited to the first 25 people who register. Additional future workshops will be scheduled depending on the interest.
The workshop will be at the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Down Syndrome Tampa office located at 1219 Millennium Parkway, Brandon FL 33511.
Please SAVE THE DATE. Flyers and invitations will go out at the end of next month to those who have shown an interest in the workshop. Because space is limited, registration is limited to those families with a child who is 18 years of age or about to turn 18 within 30 days from the date of the workshop, and who can show they are entitled to free or reduced lunches with Hillsborough County Schools.
